O’Bryant Electric was founded in 1978 by the O’Bryant family with a simple mission: offer the skills of expert wiremen, combine with great service and see what happens. The business, founded in a garage, was given one year to succeed. With the lone investment of a used truck, the company did succeed, focusing primarily on tenant improvement projects in Century City.
Within 18 months, the company began hiring as it started to grow through word of mouth and referrals within Los Angeles and nearby counties.
Staying true to the philosophy of hiring good loyal people, resulting in very low turnover, O’Bryant Electric maintains its dedication to innovation, honesty and quality on each and every job. The firm continues to grow and adapt to the changing landscape of the business – from the early days of handshake deals to today’s more complex regulated multifaceted projects.

O’Bryant Electric employs more than 200 full-time union electricians who are qualified in all phases of the electrical construction industry. Our service department has technicians who are available 24/7 for all types of service work or emergency responses.
Additionally, our office support staff consists of more than 50 full-time employees who manage roles such as construction supervision (Superintendents and General Foremen all state-licensed electrical wiremen), Service, Estimating, Purchasing, Warehouse Staff, and Office Personnel.
